Week 42 - Met our Goal and Saw the Blessings

We had a cool experience yesterday.  Elder Mostoller and I had done A TON of finding on Saturday and yesterday. Probably a solid 5 hours on Saturday and to finish it we needed 4 more yesterday.  We got 3 done before dinner and we were both completely done and didn’t want to go back out. We were exhausted and just fed up with rejection. I told Elder Mostoller that we just had to hit the goal of 23 hours for the week and so we just needed one more hour. We went out and were belling some people up and in our last 15 minutes that we needed, someone came out about three floors up and yelled down to us and just a normal contact and got eventually told "NO" but then me and Elder Mostoller go to ring the next house and then the door unlocks and we were super confused. Then the same house the husband came out and then asked if we wanted to share what we had for them. So of course we said yes and then taught a RAD on his door. Super COOL!!! We did what was asked and made the goal and got a new investigator out of it. Felt blessed for doing the work. 

With the whole Paris thing I didn’t hear about it today and we are in good hands, the Lords Hands.  I am safe. I love you so much and I am excited to hear about how Thanksgiving is for you. I love you.

Week 41 - All I want for Christmas are letters from home

Hey we came back late, so I have no time but I do need a haircut but that actually is the style here and with this week I hope that the videos get through. I have set the bar high for myself and I have been thinking what exactly I am here to give. I love you MOM you are the best

Christmas I have pretty much said all that I wanted mostly letters and small things I would rather you save the money for when I get back. I haven’t got a coat I am trying to find the best deal and I think I might bear it out till after Christmas when all the sales happen.

Week 40 - Seeing the Miracle of Obedience

That’s awesome to hear what you all did on Halloween. It’s not that big of a holiday mostly an American holiday. We have been working hard I got 23 hours 2 times in a row now and I think that I will work for that the rest of my mission. I never want to not be hitting the 23 hours.  That’s the only number that I can control really. My comp and I haven’t made any crafts in this area. But I think Daxton’s costume was legit.(He was a gnome) Super cool. I think that that sounds like a lot of fun back home. We just worked on Halloween. We really saw the success from getting 23 hours this week. I am now working on the other goals of mine so that I can become the person that I want to be.

I think that this week the miracle was that we found our first real potential and we went back the next day because we were so excited and we taught a restoration lesson and set a return appointment. Super awesome to teach him! He was probably the first one to let us in and was super respectful and wanted to listen to our message. We also got a lesson with a very faithful protestant and it made my heart sink because he wasn’t willing to listen. He was just telling us that we were wrong. I really felt what Alma describes in Alma 8:14. Yeah, also I am not very fond of people telling me, “No” without even trying and just ignorantly telling me no.

I love you and wish you guys the best. I am sending a video of me just talking because I think that might be an easier way of keeping my time under an hour of emailing. President is really trying to get missionaries to limit their time on the computers to an hour and not longer than needed.  So trying to be obedient.  Keep on doing what you are doing.
