Week 13 - I am doing better

Hey I am doing better this week I realized that I just had panicked and everything is okay, I promise. I talked with the mission president and it will be okay. I have decided that I will finish my time here and that I will be able to go back to California after and as much as I want to be there now I will be here. I miss California, it seemed to fit me so well and I hope that I can learn to enjoy it here.

We have had some success though. I got to teach some lessons and we have an investigator that we picked up and teach about twice a week so. We think that she will get baptized so that is super cool. We got to have a Zone P-Day today and that was super cool because I got to see E. Smith E. Soloman and E. Isaksen so that was sweet I was so glad to see them. I got to see E. Smith and Soloman on my first day here and that was awesome! It really made that day amazing. I got to see them all today it was great! We played soccer and basketball for a long while so that was great too.

I missed them though that was awesome. Oh I get my bike on Tuesday and that should be good I am excited I am going to get one for 80 euro so that will be great.

I will be ok I promise.

Week 12 - Its been a hard week!

I miss all of you so much. I am having a really hard time. Here my companion and I don’t click and I miss my mission in Cali. My area doesn't really stick out very much. I have the temple and it’s nice but that’s about it. Dutch is hard and I really am struggling with being here.  I think that is so cool that Elder Ballard came to stake conference. I think that it is so cool and I wish I was there.

I don’t really have anything cool to say about this week other that it is really different than California. The work actually is really steady here.

Week 11 - Made it to the Netherlands!!!

Dear Parents:

Elder Jardine made it to the Netherlands

Your missionary has arrived safe and well in the Belgium Netherlands. We are extremely impressed with his attitude, preparation and diligence. He starts work today, April 15, 2015, in his new area of Zoetermeer with one of our veteran missionaries, Elder Thomas, as trainer. He will write to you on Monday and I’m sure will fill you in on everything.

He is truly in for the most unique experience of his life. We are so pleased to have him join us here in the Belgium Netherlands after a visa delay. Thank you for your faith, commitment to the gospel, and sacrifice to send your son to serve the Lord. Many blessings are awaiting your missionary, you and your family through his missionary service. We pray for you while he is away, and he is in our prayers at all times.

Of interest, you are welcome to keep up-to-date with the mission at: http//belgiumnetherlandsmission.blogspot.com

Again, thank you for your son.

Veel liefs,
President and Sister Robinson

A note from his wonderful ward in California

Dearest Sister Jardine

I just wanted to send you a little note to tell you what a wonderful son you have and that he is just doing so well out here on his mission. We are really sad that his papers and passport have come through so quickly. My husband is the ward mission leader and so we have a lot of time with these guys - greatest calling ever. I love having watched him from his first day out of the MTC with eyes as big as dinner plates through to his first transfer - feeling comfortable and confident - and yet nervous about this huge change ahead. We are very excited for him and hope to hear how it goes.

He has a lot of love and cares very deeply. He is obedient and willing to work hard. We will miss him.

Have a wonderful day

Week 10 - Love to Serve Elder

Elder Jardine and Elder Fergeson
Aloha!

That’s how you say hello in this mission haha. My mission president served in the Polynesian cultural center for like 5 years or more I can’t remember. but that is what everyone says here. I am going to miss California so bad. I love it here with Elder McGary. it’s so fun.

I really do fit in here though. I hope that the Netherlands only gets better. I kinda don't care either way though. I really do like it here but I also know that the Netherlands is where I am supposed to be.

Conference was really good I really enjoyed it but I kept feeling like it was all like get married and have a family so I didn't really know what to think.

We got to have breakfast at a member’s house on Sunday morning and it was really good. I Have you seen the new Easter video? The one that is #BecasueHeLives? Its super good. I love that video I really think that it has some power to it.

I don't know what else to write but that my Easters was great and I am so grateful for the packages and I think that I am just going to send all the pictures home this week.

Love you to infinity. Oh and mom I really love that stone you sent me I am so grateful for the 2 dollar bill as well. Those things are what I treasure most. Also no more packages unless you send letters in them sometimes that’s all I want is a letter. So send letters lots and lots. Love you Mom you are the best!

Kyle - I haven't at all we asked about it but I won’t know till my mission president calls me so it’s up in the air I am ok staying here though I like it here

Dad – Would you like to call the mission travel office?
Mom – Yes, I will

10 min later

Mom – Want the good news or the good news, he got his VISA and will be leaving around the 13th of April. He will be waiting for the missionaries at the MTC to travel to the Netherlands.

We sent him notification in a golden egg.

Week 9 - Working Hard

My week has been good and yes I love it here the other Elders we hang out with are super fun to be around. We still work really hard but we definitely play hard. It’s really fun I am super glad that I have made these good friends. haha

Mom I am so glad that everything is going good. I really think that you should rely on the Lord give everything to him and he will really take care of everything I know that so well. I can’t tell you how much I know that. That's probably the one thing that God is teaching me out here. I don't really like it at all but I know that is so true.

I got to talk to Putney and she said that she wants to meet with us sometime this weekend. I am super excited about it. We are probably going to go down to the Harbor and have Lunch sometime. I am pretty excited about it.

We are starting to pick up things a little more each week I can’t believe that it has almost be a transfer here.  It’s so crazy and thinking about how I have a whole entire mission to go to. It feels so good to be here.

I got some pictures of the Netherlands from my MTC companion and they look so cool but the beach here is definitely paradise just the view is awesome. We also see so many nice cars and it makes me think of what I will want when I get home.

I do have some pictures this week and it’s so funny I got a haircut and it doesn't look all that bad but its way different than how you would cut it.

I love you Mom remember that I am ok and that as the days go by I will be home closer than you know it!

Love you to Infinity
