Week 36 - I Love My New Companion and Conference was Great!

So Actually temple conference is coming up and I am super pumped it’s the 14th transfers were really good and smooth I went and stayed the night here the night before so I could just go and get my new companion Elder Mostoller on transfer day. Pretty exciting. He is from Arizona and very intelligent. I love him and I try to tell him that at least once a day because that’s what my trainer, Elder Mcgary did and it meant a ton to me to know that he loved me. I love Elder Mostoller, He is is a little quiet but he is slowly opening up. I hope I can train him well. I was talking to Elder Stanger last transfer and talking about training and its funny because I would rather my greenie become leadership and shine and do tons of work than I would want my self to have all those cool opportunities. I guess that’s why they say that your greenie is your son haha funny thought.

On getting up on time I have been struggling but getting better I have set like three alarms and Its is just so hard to get up at 6:30 I am trying really hard because my greenie is really good at it so trying to be a good example just have bad habits. I do remember the things that Elder Mcgary taught me and I am trying to teach my greenie the same.

So white washing an area is definitely a beast. I love it I am excited and I think that I have the ground a little more under my feet now. I realize the importance of meeting the members and getting to know all of them. It’s been a struggle because we have had general conference and that makes things a bit more difficult to get to know all of them. I think that it will be a real challenge. We have made a goal to meet at least one member a day till we know the whole ward less actives included.  Me and Elder Mostoller had a cool experience when we were here in Dordrecht in between watching the priesthood session and we had two hours till the next session began. We decided to open our member list and go find some members.  We went to the home of an older lady and the neighbor told us that she wasn’t home so we got out one of the white shirt missionary notes that we made and began writing the note. Just then her son came by and asked us if we were looking for his mother and then we learned that she had been ambulanced to the hospital the day before. Right time right place. Then we bike across Dordrecht and tried to visit another member and we found her and it was an awesome JOVO and she was so cool to talk to on the doorstep and she had her friend over who is investigating and she was telling us about conference and her plans for baptism and what she was looking for, it was awesome to hear and again we were in the right place at the right time.

Ok also some bad news is my bike got jacked. So that sucks and it just happened today so I will be getting a new bike soon and hopefully I can get it soon kinda need it so yeah I am going to pull money out of my personal account and get it done that way.

During conference we watch it just when it happens. So for the afternoon sessions we had to watch the day after so I just saw Sunday afternoon a little while ago haha good stuff. I need to remind you of the talk about mother and how I have told you that before, I love you so much mom and you are the best. You have taught me just like I needed to be taught. I love you
